What the petition asks
Child maintenance should be work out for the paying parent from there NET pay NOT from there GROSS pay as the working parent does not even see nor take home in the bank the GROSS pay so they are getting penalized twice from the tax man and Child maintenance
Example: - Parent on £36,000 per year GROSS pay.
Actual take home pay £24,000 per year NET pay.
Child maintenance work out your weekly pay from £36,000 this would be £692.00 per week in pay. When actually your weekly take home pay is £461.00
Action needs to be taken so that child maintenance is worked out from your NET pay not your GROSS pay as parents just cannot afford to live taking money from parents that do not even see this in the bank accounts.
Please sign and make this happen for the paying parent. Everyone should pay for there child but it has to be fair.
