What the petition asks

My beautiful cat Harley was run down and left to die on the side of the road. Nobody had stopped to move him off the road, nobody really cared. All cats deserve a change in the law to make this illegal, make it the same law as dogs have. It could save a life. It also brings closure, pets are family

People do not care because it's not the LAW?! But for dogs it's the law you have to report it. To me this makes no sense and never has done. So I am utterly desperate to help another family have closure over the death of a family member. Which is what they are to us

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Include cats on the reportable accident list like dogs and larger animals.
