Prevent council spending money on anti-squatter guardianship companies.

What the petition asks
One such a company being Camelot Vacant Property Guardians: http://uk.cameloteurope.com/. Both the guardians and local councils are paying the company to house guardians - it started as an anti-squatting scheme but squatting is no longer legal.
As an ex guardian I have experienced, harassment from council flat residents for being a guardian. Most young people who move to the capital are forced to live with guardianship companies. As a guardian you have no rights and live in conditions unfit for living. Toilets are converted into shower cubicles. If you persist to have something fixed or complain about parties in the properties you can be asked to leave or get evicted. I was evicted couple of days before Christmas.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The decision of whether or not to enter into a contract with guardianship companies is the responsibility of local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament.
