What the petition asks
Non Invasive Prenatal Testing may soon be available on the NHS to prenatally identify a number of conditions. Sign this petition to ensure the government offer balanced, unbiased advice on both termination AND life experiences of people with diagnosed conditions, informed by lived experience.
Diagnosis of an unexpected condition or potential disability during a pregnancy can impact families in a number of ways. There may be feelings of shock, grief, guilt and uncertainty. At this vulnerable time it is imperative that parents are given fast, free and easy access to a professional or team of professionals who can assist them with provision of unbiased and balanced information that covers the spectrum of experience and scientific evidence concerning their particular circumstances.
