What the petition asks
With regard to the recent report of the select committee, the government should introduce legislation to remove Chakrabarti's peerage . We believe Her peerage was an abuse of parliament and has made it more difficult to confront antisemitism.
(Baroness) Chakrabarti's report into antisemitism in the Labour Party is compromised by its failure to deliver a comprehensive set of recommendations, to provide a definition of antisemitism, or suggest ways of dealing with antisemitic incidents. In addition to join the Labour Party in April accept a peerage as a nominee of the Labour Leader and recent appointment to Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet, has thrown into question the independence of the Labour Party's inquiry at expense of Jewish human rights
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
