Mandatory dog bite prevention in the school and preschool curriculum

Closed 75 signatures

What the petition asks

It has become apparent with recent tragic events the current system does not stop or decrease dog bites and hospitalisation . I feel education in dog handling and bite prevention is a key area in tackling dog bites as the largest demographic is young children , many bites can be prevented.
Bite statistics rise every year . Far too much blame is put on the breed of dog luring many owners of other breeds into a false sense of security . Many of the worlds top trainers and behaviourists such as victoria stillwell , jo rosie , nando brown , cesar millan all disagree with breed specific legislation and promote bite prevention , education and responsible dog ownership. Nearly all dog bites are preventable .
Lets teach our children how to be safe around dogs!
