What the petition asks
Over the past years it has become apparent that public transport services are becoming more and more expensive. This may not be seen as a problem, but for students it is a dilemma.
As a student myself I have to pay very high fees to travel to and from college, but because I am sixteen I am expected to pay an adult fee. In response to this issue I am making this petition to get students the justice they deserve.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Setting the price of student travel fares, and deciding how they relate to child fares, is the responsibility of transport operating companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
