Child refugees to be given dental tests to prove their age before entering UK.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

The recent transfer of "child refugees" from Calais has brought up one question, how old are they really? So far most of them look over 18 with a lot looking older.
The system is clearly being exploited and real children are being left behind to suffer.
If dental and medical checks are done before entry to the UK it will aid us in helping the children that are in need and not the adult chancers exploiting the system.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Government has said that it cannot, legally, force anyone to undergo a dental check of this kind. It is therefore not clear what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take. A Government Minister, Robert Goodwill, answered a question in the House of Commons about this last week. You can read the full answer here:

Verify that all child refugees accepted into the UK are genuinely under 18.
