Statements by advertisers are required to be Legal, Decent, Honest and Truthful. We think that public statements by Ministers and MPs should be held to the same standards.
Many political messages use methods of persuasion that are not based on facts or evidence. These methods are derived from marketing and advertising, and should be held to the same standards.
