What the petition asks
30,000 elephants are slaughtered every year for their tusks. The irony is that some of this ivory is then carved to resemble these beautiful wild creatures.
We are rapidly losing the war on Ivory trade, lets use this petition to ban all sale of Ivory in the UK. This cruel injustice needs to end

I am a animal mangement student who is going into studying wildlife conservation. After watching Saving Africas Elephants on BBC One the sheer scale of this problem was enough to bring me to tears. It is barbaric and something needs to be done now, lets get this petition to parliament and put an end to this out dated, idiotic trade.
