What the petition asks

Chinese Lanterns cause severe burns, severe injury or possibly the loss of Livestock.
They could potentially cause damage to property starting fires leading to loss of life.

A young horse received severe burns to his head, face, eyes and around his ears due to a Chinese Lantern landing in his field last night. Luckily his wounds are superficial and the vet has said he will make a full recovery. He is not the first animal to be injured and won't be the last unless something is done.

What happens if a lantern lands on a house with a thatched roof? Devastation and loss of human life! Act now.
