Petition · past parliament
stop petrol stations charging extortionate prices at motorway services
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
i find it absolutely disgraceful that oil companies can charge up to 20 pence a litre more on a motorway then in towns or cities, just because they know you may have to stop there to fill up.its about time this behaviour was stopped
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the prices that companies chose to charge for petrol. Parliament sets the tax on petrol, but doesn't control the prices charged at different locations.
