Change or ease the rules surrounding 'gardens' on baby graves.

Closed 790 signatures

What the petition asks

8 weeks after burying my little boy, who was born asleep in June of this year, we recieved a "rule book" stating what we can and cannot do with his resting place that a paid for. Such rules included not being able to lay stones and not coming away from the headstone by more then 12" etc.
I know that the rules in baby gardens and what is 'allowed' differs nationally. After being asked recently to remove ALL items from my little boy's grave, I'm petitioning to get the rules at certain cemeteries eased or changed, to allow bereaved parents to decorate their child's resting place as they see fit, providing it remains maintained by the grave 'owner'.

Buried babies may only be a plot number to some, but they are our children and deserve their own little gardens.

Thank you.
