Let Royal Marine Sergeant Alex Blackman Go Home on Parole for Christmas

What the petition asks

Royal Marine Sergeant Alex Blackman has been jailed by a flawed Court Martial for an action during military service in a war zone. He is at the moment a prisoner awaiting appeal.
As he is an honourable Royal Marine NCO, we feel he can be trusted to be released on parole, so that he may spend Christmas and New Year with his family, returning to "surrender himself to custody" when his appeal is to be heard.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Government and Parliament are not responsible for releasing people from prison or for making decisions about parole.
