What the petition asks
The advantages include:
-increased daylight during the afternoon.
-energy saving from lighting being delayed, producing reduced carbon emissions;

The Royal Society for the Prevention of accidents is in favour of GMT + 1 hour in the winter and GMT + 2 hours in the summer as more people are killed on the road as a result of the earlier afternoon darkness in the winter caused by our current winter time of GMT.
