Reverse the planned privatisation of Radio 4
Rejected
16 signatures
What the petition asks
The IEA, a think tank which is strongly associated with the Tory party, has begun the process of privatising 60% of the Radio 4. This is truly shocking news; the BBC should remain a public asset. Putting profit ahead of being an unbiased service puts power into the hands of the super rich.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
This is a proposal made by an independent thinktank. The Government has not announced any plans to privatise Radio 4.
