Make the murder of all dogs to be as harsh as sentences towards humans

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

After the petition 4 police dogs 2 b as significant as officers when sentencing for crimes against them I want equality! Harming animals as meaningful as family members as beings should carry a sentence as it would for police dogs and officers. No man or dog is more worthy of life than the next
If someone was to murder my dogs who are my lifeline (the aid me with my bipolar disorder) it would be considered criminal damage, if the bill is passed for police dogs they would be seen as officers therefore would be charged with their murder. I believe my dogs save my life on a regular basis and I feel this is worthy of the respect given to dogs who fight crime. Guide dogs, Aid dogs, Police Dogs, Rescue dogs, pedigrees alike they all once domesticated help us and are 100% dependant on us.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

You could start a new petition asking Parliament to change the law, so that the killing of a dog and the murder of a person are treated the same in law, if that's what you would like to happen.
