Dual citizenship subject to Hague Convention to safeguard European children.

What the petition asks
Many European mothers are losing their children to estranged husbands who abduct their children to the countries where the judiciary and the executive processes are corrupt. Not being signatory to the Hague Convention makes it almost impossible to get the children back to the UK.
Many leading statistics prove that thousands of children are being abducted and often tricked into running away to countries where the British Government or the Governments of many western countries have almost no international legal influence. These children are often born and brought up in the European countries before their abductions and remain helpless even when they wish to return to their country of origin where they are citizens as well.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
