What the petition asks
The Government have pushed the public to buy "clean cars" via grants and tax breaks. Thousands of drivers including myself have followed their advice and incentives to purchase. They are now looking tax us for following their advice - The changes are unjust and a u-turn leaving us out of pocket.
Many of us have made the decision to buy a more expensive hybrid car because UKGOV asked us to by offering financial contributions and tax breaks. My family and I, (like many others) are now facing greater tax bills than I had with my previous diesel vehicle - How is this fair? I feel the public have been miss-sold and miss-guided by UKGOV.
