The United Kingdom is a founding member of the United Nations and one of five permanent members of the UN Security Council
As a member United Nations it would be assumed that United Kingdom would need to abide by the treaties that are made up within the Nations

Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the foundation for modern law, It is therefore that the British government are in breach of Article 22; Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security and is entitled to realization, through national effort and international co-operation and in accordance with the organization and resources of each State, of the economic, social and cultural rights indispensable for his dignity and the free development of his personality.
