What the petition asks
Voting is being effected by the lack of a direct, quantifiable outlet for frustrated people to express themselves. It causes negative voting and confused issues. People should have a way to say candidates/campaigns tactics are not good enough;if say 25% reached a rerun with new candidates triggered.
Voting should be a positive experience. i.e FOR someone or something. Too often, the choice is often about the 'least worst option'. The ballot paper needs to give a credible alternative. The electorate needs a way to encourage postive campaigning and ultimately reject a set of bad candidates.I believe by giving everyone the option of quanitfiably registering their frustration with candidates/campaigns we can force politicians away from devisive language and personal attacks & increase turn out.
