What the petition asks
Amend the recall of parliament act 2015 to allow for fresh elections when 40% of the last turnout at a constituency election signs a petition calling for that.
The British public demand the means to remove our MPs if they are not acting in the interest of the British people
The British public demand the means to remove our MPs if they are not acting in the interest of the British people
For far too long, prospective members of parliament and political parties of all denominations, have lied to the British public in order to get elected.
The only way to ensure that those elected to office, keep their word once chosen to speak for the people, is to give the public the right to sack their MPs or government in much the same way that you would sack a negligent or under performing employee.
Many MP's are openly disregarding the will of the people and should therefore be removed.
