Kalydeco (ivacaftor) to be funded for under 6's, by NHS England

What the petition asks

Currently Kalydeco is funded by the NHS for children with a rarer types of Cystic fibrosis from age 6 years and over.
Vertex has recently liscenced the drugs from the age of 2 years. However the NHS has yet to decide whether to agree funding.
This medication is considered life changing
The treatment is eligible for 9 different rare genotypes and currently funded for ages 2-5, on the NHS in Scotland. At the moment it is only funded in England For those over six years old. Kalydeco has been proven to treat the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis in those 9 gene mutations, to significantly increase lung function, slow the progression of cystic fibrosis and halve hospital admissions.
