What the petition asks
We are a small school with great potential! Ten Mile Bank students are heartbroken that potentially their school will be closed, DEMAT have decided there is no future for Ten Mile Bank Academy because of 'numbers' we think they are wrong and ask for support to keep our school
On November 22 2016 DEMAT will be holding a 'consultation on the proposed closure of Ten Mile Bank Riverside Academy' it is suggested that 'if' the school is closed and the children are moved on to Hilgay Primary children over 8 will not be entitled to transport as it is less than 2 miles from Ten Mile Bank. That would mean the children crossing the A10 to get into Hilgay, this is unthinkable. Please support our plea the community are working extremely hard night and day to keep our beloved school open. Thankyou
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The decision to close the Academy is the responsibility of DEMAT, not the UK Government or Parliament.
