What the petition asks
My son was born in 2011 with talipes( clubfoot in 1 of his feet) it was turned inwards. From 3 days old he had a full leg cast on, every week we went a 102 mile round trip to see his consultant, At 3 months his tendon cut and then he wore ponsetti boots and bar -firstly for 23hrs a day then 12hrs.
He couldnt kick his legs freely, he couldnt roll over in his bed to get comfortable. He was stuck on his back thumping a metal bar with his little blue boots attached. Some people get dla as the assessor see it requires 'more care' than a normal baby, but like myself we didnt. My son did require more care, and as he got older with the boots on it got harder on him and myself. Dla needs to address this and make a serious decision to if all should get it or none. They are born with this abnormality
