What the petition asks
The president-elect of the USA has offended many people and groups in the course of his election campaign. He should be condemned for his racism and sexism. Many historians have expressed alarm at his fascist tendencies. He does not deserve the honour of a visit to our symbol of democracy.
All balanced news coverage of the US election campaign from mid-2015 onwards provides a continuous stream of the offensive language and dangerous policies of president-elect Trump.
