Do not make the British taxpayer pay for the renovation of Buckingham Palace!

What the petition asks
Following recent news that Buckingham Palace is to undergo a £369 million renovation, it should not be at the expense of the British taxpayer. In a time of perennial austerity where hospitals, schools and the "JAM" (just about managing) families are struggling, surely this renovation is arbitrary?
