Petition · past parliament
Nurses should not have to pay NMC costs to practise.
Rejected

What the petition asks
It is unfair that registered nurses should pay the NMC £120 yearly to practise. The NMC remains a widely recognised body that disciplines or investigates nurses regarding their practise. Fees for this service is immoral considering nurses are grossly underpaid for the service they perform already.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The price of registration is an operational decision of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, not the Government or Parliament.
