What the petition asks
Users of London's suburban rail services deserve a better service. They deserve more reliable, faster, more frequent trains with increased capacity, as proposed by TfL: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/about-tfl/how-we-work/planning-for-the-future/developing-the-rail-network#on-this-page-1
It's been reported today (23/11/2016) that DfT wants joint working between TfL and the rail companies, not takeovers. The rail companies have had years to improve their services, but have failed to do so. The time for second chances has long passed and rail users need to see change and improvements urgently.
