What the petition asks
The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights issued a damning report on the UK’s compliance with international human rights law, and made 60 specific recommendations. The government must explain to Parliament and the British public how it intends to implement them.
The government missed the opportunity of the 2016 Autumn statement to start decisively allocating the necessary resources to fulfil the economic and social rights recognised in international human rights law.
