Make Personal Development classes part of the national curriculum

What the petition asks
Sources suggest that on average, children spend just under 800 hours in a classroom each year! During this time a range of subjects will be taught and skills will be gained. However, in the midst of Maths, Science, PE and others, when do you hear kids shouting "I'm off to Personal Development Class"
I do not have an issue with the standard of education our children get, but I want them to have an opportunity each week to work on Developing themselves, to learn and build on attributes such as Resilience, Self Motivation and Empathy to name a few.
