Petition · past parliament
Give workers at Matalan retail stores better working conditions or better pay.

What the petition asks
Matalan has a tendancy to treat staff badly. Often giving shockingly short notice of working hours, being rude and unsupportive towards staff. This is all as well as being paid £4 per hour for people under 18 and £5.20 for under 21s. Although this may be minimum wage, it is not enough to live from.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This is the responsibility of Matalan, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition calling on the Government or Parliament to take action. For example, you could ask for the minimum wage to be increased.
