What the petition asks

Borough councils are waging Total War against dog owners by abusing the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). PSPOs are grossly abused by councils to impose wide restrictions against and affect the quality of life of a SINGLE demographic. HMGovt ban all orders preventing off lead exercising of dogs

PSPOs are intended to prevent Criminal & Anti-Social behaviour, e.g. a PSPO can be used to gate a community to prevent persistent anti-social offences like burglary, violence, drinking & drugs. PSPOs are not intended to penalise, criminalise and demonise dog owners wishing to provide humane exercise to their dogs. Councils even raise PSPOs against Town and Village Greens (‘TVGs’) & Public Rights of Way affecting the quality of life for millions of people. HMG ban all such orders immediately
