What the petition asks

A life sentence handed out to criminals should mean they spend the rest of their life behind bars with no option for early release

All too often we hear of people being sentenced for horrific crimes and murders and are told they've been given a 'life sentence ' of which they must serve a minimum of 4 years or something ridiculous like that. Life should mean life, to combat the response of "we don't have the money or the space" - in these cases bring back the death penalty for murderers and child abusers who show no remorse and stop imprisoning people for petty offences like 'possession of cannabis'
