Make Security Industry Authority reform systems, processes and payment schemes

Closed 418 signatures

What the petition asks

The SIA was designed to improve security standards across the UK and enforce the PSI act, however many people in the industry are unhappy with the pricing structure and lack of support given by the SIA. A review of the ACS pricing is required to make it affordable to small businesses
The ACS is overpriced for many smaller companies and is a requirement of tenders, therefore the scheme is damaging small businesses.

The SIA advised thousands of companies to proceed with ISO 9001 or ACS in preparation for business licence - these clients were misinformed and want a review of how this happened.

More support and training needed, not fines. People feel they are just interested in money

Internal computer system isn't fit for purpose

Phone lines to be brought online for public
