What the petition asks
Why should the Security Industry Authority charge people every three years £220 to renew their licence and an additional £110 for any other licences held. People should not have to pay this amount of money to be able to go to work.
The security profession is overlooked by this country and most employees are on minimum wage.
We should not have to pay to work, the government should fund this organisation and not the employees.
Without security officers the country would be nowhere near as safe as it is and we should be treated fairly.
This charge is unacceptable.
