What the petition asks
The Transport Secretary has put dogmatic ideology ahead of cross-party and commuter support for enacting real improvement in Greater London rail services. The London Overground model has proven a record of bringing a modern, safe and reliable integrated rail service to London commuters.
This proposal was supported by the previous Mayor (Boris Johnson), the previous Transport Secretary (Patrick McLoughlin), the current Mayor (Sadiq Khan), and was campaigned on by the Conservative Mayoral candidate (Zac Goldsmith) and many other MP's and Assembly Members. It also has overwhelming support by those failed by Southern and Southeastern services.
