Petition for those objecting to losing a major part of green belt in St Helens.

There are proposed plans for Rainford-Village and its surrounding boroughs including St-Helens to lose the majority of the little remaining green belt to the development of houses. Most worrying to us is the effect on our environment, wildlife & the future impact of these plans.

Once an application is made for development to take place, all local residents have the right to request that a planning application be ‘called in’ by the Department for Communities and Local Government. This means that it will assess the planning application against certain criteria and decide if a full inquiry is needed.
