Ensure all food products containing halal-slaughtered meat are clearly labelled.

Many food products, from ready-made sandwiches to pies, are made using halal-slaughtered meat and are not labelled as such. Many people have no wish to participate in this inhumane method of slaughter and would choose not to purchase a product using meat slaughtered using halal methods. People need to be given the choice whether or not to participate.

We call on the government to enact legislation to ensure that ALL food products that contain halal-slaughtered meat are clearly labelled as such.
