What the petition asks
Why are we still breathing in smoke that we know will kill us, even when we've chosen not to?
Those of us who have decided not to smoke, or to give up, are still forced to inhale cigarette smoke every time we go for a walk or take our children to the park or pop to the shops! It's not right!

Smoking is the primary cause of preventable illness and premature death, accounting for approximately 96,000 deaths a year in the United Kingdom.
Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body and dramatically reduces both quality of life and life expectancy.
The 2010 US Surgeon General report, ‘How Tobacco Smoke Causes Disease’, concludes that “there is no risk-free level of exposure to tobacco smoke, and there is no safe tobacco product".
