Stop putting sticky labels on food.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Sticky labels on fruit and vegetables cause unnecessary waste and litter. By campaigning to remove the requirement for fruit and vegetables to be labelled we believe will benefit people and the environment.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure whether you would like sticky labels to be banned, or whether you would like the rules about the labelling of fruit and vegetables to be changed.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

Many of the rules for the labelling of fruit and vegetables are set by international bodies, including the EU. If you would like the rules on the labelling of fruit and vegetables to be changed, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government to work with other countries to change the rules. You can find out more about the rules here:
