Offer EU Citizens established in the UK Associate British Citizenship
Rejected

What the petition asks
A proposal exists from members of the European Parliament to offer Britons who want it associate European citizenship. The UK should reciprocate by offering EU citizens already established permanent residence or associate British citizenship, without strings, immediately.
It is abhorrent the British government proposes to use EU citizens in the UK as bargaining chips when we need the goodwill of partners in the EU and given their contribution over decades, through work, business, scientific discovery, and raising families. Offering the same rights would encourage EU member countries to reciprocate.
