Mandatory life sentence for child rape

What the petition asks
A child who is raped has the rest of their life to face in ruins and turmoil due to what has happend to them. So why do we have such light sentences for it. With this crime increasing daily it should now have the sentence of life in prison to help prevent this awful act.
