What the petition asks
I am a Primary School Teacher and a Foster (Kinship) Carer. For many years I have seen and taught children who are in care - Looked After Child (LAC). These children need us!
An educational foster home could offer stability, consistency, care and love and deliver fantastic outcomes for children.

Nearly 64,000 children live with almost 55,000 foster families across the UK each day. This is nearly 80% of the 81,000 children in care away from home on any one day in the UK.
The Government's DfE paper states: “Where birth parents cannot meet a child’s basic needs it is one of the state’s most important responsibilities to step in and ensure that children can have a childhood which keeps them safe and enables them to flourish."
