Make it a legal requirement for all schools to have carbohydrate content lists

Closed 46 signatures

What the petition asks

Diabetic children all over the Uk miss hot school meals as there's no legal requirement for school to have carb contents for their meals.
As a diabetic child, Riley (7) has to injection insulin every time he eats, the amount depends on the carbs he is about to eat. Without this info he cannot eat
As a type1 diabetic you must inject inject insulin with all food and drink for life, there is no cure, there is also no cause so it's unpreventable!
The amount you inject depends on the amount of carbohydrate you are about to eat.
At the minute there is no legal requirement for schools to have this information meaning children are missing out on a hot school meal.
I believe all schools in the uk should have a list of carbohydrate contents for each meal so our children can eat a healthy hot meal
