Close all Regional Assemblies and 'Parliaments'.

What the petition asks

The entire concept of 'regional assemblies' has created enormous dissonance within Britain's political life and has not producing any stabilizing effects in order to counter balance this.
All regional assemblies and 'Parliaments' are a totally unnecessary tier of Government that wastes resources and persistently fail to make any meaningful or positive impact on Britain's social, cultural, and economic life. For example in Scotland there is a 15 billion pound national debt, very little economic growth, a 190 million pound hole in policing, and now a huge 23 billion pound debt due to north sea oil costs.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, if you would like Parliament to change the law, to return the powers devolved to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to the UK Government, you could start a petition asking for that.
