What the petition asks
On 11th November 1918, the Great War ended. With the centenary of the end of the Great War occurring next year, we believe that Armistice Day should marked in our national calendar as a Bank Holiday. This would fall on the nearest Monday to the 11th November.
With the centenary of the Great War occurring next year, we believe that Armistice Day 11th November should be marked as a Bank Holiday. The sacrifice made by our brave men and the women they left behind to defend our nation deserves to be marked in this way. Make Armistice Day 11th November a Bank Holiday.
