Nigel farage delivers article 50
Rejected
16 signatures
What the petition asks
Let Nigel farage be the one who delivers the letter to Brussels that officially invokes article 50
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty states that "A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention". This notification will therefore not necessarily come in the form of a letter, and will be given by the UK Government.
