Issue an apology regarding historical human rights abuse against the UK Romany

What the petition asks
Ever since the early 1500's, the Romany population in the United Kingdom has been – through the varying Government legislation specifically aimed at “Egyptians” or “Gypsies” - severely and unfairly subjected to many human rights abuses that still cast a shadow on our community today ..
While expecting an outright apology may be wishful thinking, in the very least, we would like a Truth and Reconciliation Commission setup, to be tasked with discovering and revealing past wrongdoing by the UK Government in relation to the Romany, wrongdoing such as the vast array of Government legislation that made it a capital punishment to even be a Romany Gypsy.
