What the petition asks
We are aware that the NHS is facing difficult times. We are fortunate that is has fantastic infrastructure employing a wealth of skilled workers. The NHS directly benefits all of us. Even those with private health insurance employ staff relying on the NHS. We will all benefit from a strong NHS.
When we or our loved ones are sick, we need the support of the health service and we value the skill and commitment of staff. Nobody likes to wait for hours for appointments, test results or operations, but the service is under strain. The range of treatments is vast and the population is growing.
Every penny each of us puts into the NHS is a way of looking after ourselves and those we love.
Let's have an NHS to feel proud of. I am happy to have two less Starbucks a week to make this happen.
